Blockhouse Bay Intermediate Visit

On Tuesday 20th August, we took 50 Year 6 students to Blockhouse Bay Intermediate for an orientation visit. They got to experience specialist subjects such as Food Tech, Hard Tech, Music, Drama, Science, Digital Tech, PE and Visual Art. Here is a video of some of our students enjoying a rhythm activity in the music class. 

We had a very enjoyable time and our students displayed our school values of being respectful, responsible, and the best they could be. 

Gymnastics: Parkour

Students had the opportunity to race around the parkour course and try to make the fastest time.

The winning group was Kohtaro, Vihaan, Ehan and Faariz.

Congratulations to Luka who received the Principal's Award for stepping into Year 6 responsibilities and for his willingness to help others on their learning journeys.

Book Parade Room 12

Room 11 Book Character Parade

Most of Room 11 came in costume for our Book Character Parade in Week 2. We had a lot of fun and we enjoyed seeing everyone else's costumes too. Some people were too quick to get changed afterwards so our photo is not as full as it could be! Whaea Shirley will have to be faster to take photos next time 😊

Gymnastics

For the last few weeks we have been practising our gymnastics. Each week we have a session with our teacher and a session with a gymnast, we love trying out all of the equipment and trying new things. We are getting braver each session, some of us have even worked our way to doing a handstand by the wall.
