Team Work
This week our focus for being a great learner is team work. We are learning how to be a great team worker, so in our Olympic maths we had to work as a team to race to 100. The students had to agree on who would be the time keeper, recorder and who would work together to solve the problem. The students had to estimate how fast they thought they could order 10 numbers between 1 and 100. The fastest group in the class was 57 seconds just beating 2nd place by 1 second. After the activity we all reflected on how we had tried our best to be a good team worker.
Gymnasts in the Making
After watching the gymnastics at the Olympics were observed how they looked when they performed and discussed our ideas. The students identified that:
* They point their feet
* They have nice straight legs
* They have nice straight arms
We then used this points to help us with our own gymnastics lesson, so the students focused on pointing their feet and keeping their arms and legs nice and straight. It was fantastic as the students really worked hard on looking professional.

Working together to find the answer!
This week we have been learning what makes a good team player. Being able to work in a team is an important skill to have. The students have been discussing what they think being a good team worker is and they decided on:
Sharing ideas
Listening to each other
Agreeing with the final idea
Participating
Working together to solve a problem
They then had to put these skills into practice by working in groups to find the answers to their Olympic quiz!

Learning to use QR codes
This week we all learnt how to use a QR code to find a book to listen to. Here is Leah and Vivian showing us step by step how we use QR codes in our classroom.
