This week Mr V sent us on a digital dig. We had to discover different shortcut commands for our Chrome books. There were so many, we were amazed at what we could do!
We are a Y3-4 class who share our learning by being confident, creative, collaborative, respectful, responsible and resilient.

W4, T1: Tikanga with Matua
On Wednesday morning, Matua Jarrod visited us to teach us a haka and sing some songs. This week he taught us the haka powhiri.
We were very proud of Michael, Cristian, Noah and Agnes who led it and helped Matua out.

W3, T1: Using Collaboration to Problem Solve
We have been learning to work in collaborative groups to solve a problem.
In maths, Miss Miller gave us a problem. We have to create target numbers (1-20) using only four 4s e.g. 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 =16.
It was very challenging.

W2, T1: The Learning Pit
The Learning Pit.
This week we looked at the learning pit. It helps us to understand where we are at in our learning journey and how to push forward. The students each showed us a journey they have taken through the pit in a number of ways.
Explaining when they have been in the pit to their friend.
The students learnt that their are a number of tools and resources they can use to help guide them through the pit. Get your child to tell you about their journey.

W1, T1: Re-branding: Welcome to the Wild
Last week, the digital classes had to work in collaborative groups to re-name Rooms 11, 12 and 13.
As a group we talked and created artwork to match the names.
We came up with:
Bird's Nest for sharing ideas ( The Breakout Room)
The Elephant's Herd for creating and tinkering (Room 13)
The Beehive for group conversations ( Room 12)
The Bunny's Burrow for reflection and quiet time (Room 11)
The Lion's Den for sharing our ideas ( Outside Rooms 12 and 13)
We also discussed the expectations in each room. How do we make each room suit everyone's learning needs?
